About GEST Research Groups During GEST's decade-plus existence, there were 8 research groups, each devoted to collaboration and research tasks and grants relative to their focus of study. In May 2011, the next generation of GEST, GESTAR, was awarded to USRA, and many of the faculty previously with GEST are now with USRA or Morgan State University. A few grant-funded faculty members have remained with UMBC and some former GEST members have joined JCET or CRESST. And several others are part of the newly founded GPHI (Goddard Planetary Heliophysics Institute). The JCET/GEST/GPHI Organization Chart is currently undergoing revision. |
