About GEST Research Groups Because there are 138 faculty scientists, staff and students in GEST, subdivisions are necessary to ensure the flow of information between management and researchers, and between the researchers themselves. To foster collaboration within and between disciplines, research groups have been created, aligned with Goddard Space Flight Center's research areas. You can see a graphic depiction of this division by reviewing the GEST and JCET Organization Chart (112 Kb PDF). Currently there are eight research alignments:
Office of Public Affairs and AETD (Codes 100-500)
Mesoscale Atmospheric Processes (Code 613.1)
Climate and Radiation (Code 613.2)
Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics (Code 613.3)
Hydrospheric and Biospheric Science (Code 614)
Heliophysics Division (Code 670) and Solar System Division (Code 690) |
