Current Events NASA Earth System Science at 20 Symposium A three-day symposium will be held at the National Academy of Sciences from June 22 - 24, 2009 in which past discoveries and future approaches will be discussed in open forums. The symposium is free but registration is required. Tuesday night's Public Showcase "Observations of Our Changing Earth from Space" will feature a performance by Bella Gaia violinist Kenji Williams (this event is free and open to the public). GEST congratulates Dr. Mike Kurylo, the recipient of the 2008 Hillebrand Prize from the Chemical Society of Washington. The award will be presented on March 12, 2009 at the NASA Goddard Recreation Center.
