Media Specialist, Interactive Science

Exempt, Full time, Grant Funded
Position is for one year with the possibility of extension.
Note: This is a grant-funded position wherein employment is contingent upon the renewal of the grant and carries no layoff or reinstatement rights.
DEPARTMENT:
Goddard Earth Sciences and Technology (GEST) Center
Position is located at the Goddard Space Flight Center located in Greenbelt, Maryland.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Excellent opportunity for multimedia producer or web production designer with a passion for creating interactive content on some of the most mind-blowing science stories in the universe. The Interactive Media producer will work with educators, scientists, and science writers producers to design, produce, and distribute stimulating web content through NASA and Goddard web portals. In addition, the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree. Must be proficient in Flash, HTML and content management systems. Strong visual and design skills and an interest in science communication are preferred. Note: Selection is contingent upon obtaining Goddard security clearance.
SALARY:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
