Biography:

Ms. Anne Kramer attended UMBC for both her undergraduate degree in Physics and her Master of Science in Atmospheric Physics, where she worked with both Dr. Lynn Sparling (UMBC) and Dr. Thorsten Markus (GSFC). Her master's research was on passive microwave remote sensing of Arctic sea ice in the Bering Sea using the SSM/I instrument, and was presented by Dr. Markus at the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) meeting in Denver, CO, August 2006. She began working with Dr. Gail Jackson in April of 2007, during which time she has been concentrating on developing the snowfall retrieval algorithm for the GPM mission, mainly utilizing data collected during C3VP. Her research has been used in many poster and oral presentations given by Dr. Jackson, and she hopes to expand her participation in upcoming publications.
