Biography:

Helen-Nicole Kostis is a research artist who works at the intersection of the art, science and technology for the instantiation of experimental artworks and visualization media. Born in Chicago, she now lives and works in Maryland, USA. She studied Mathematics in Greece and she holds a MS in Computer Science and a MFA in Electronic Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She currently holds a Research Associate position at the Scientific Visualization Studio, (GSFC, NASA), where she contributes to the creation of scientific visualizations for Earth sciences using satellite data.
